Service Delivery Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Service Delivery Manager with 12–18 years of overall experience in managing enterprise data operations and support services, including at least 10 years in the field. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing production support, ensuring service excellence, driving operational efficiency, and leading teams to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • 12+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Application Support, or related fields
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize batch processes running on ADF pipelines, ADLS, and ETL tools (DataStage, Informatica, SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator).
  • Analyze system logs, error messages, and performance metrics to identify patterns, trends, and root causes of failures.
  • Working knowledge of ITSM tools and schedulers
  • Manage and support Azure-based data workflows, including ingestion, transformation, and storage.
  • Work on data migration projects from legacy ETL platforms to modern cloud-based solutions (Azure Data Factory, Databricks).
  • Provide production support for large-scale data integration projects, ensuring SLA compliance and timely resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise data warehouse and reporting systems.
  • Use ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, or equivalent) to log, track, and resolve incidents.
  • Manage job schedulers (Control-M, Autosys, or equivalent) to ensure smooth execution of workflows.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python, UNIX Shell, or Perl to streamline monitoring and support tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders during outages, SLA misses, or escalations, ensuring transparency and timely updates.
  • Contribute to presales activities by preparing RFP responses, solution documentation, and technical presentations.
  • Ensure adherence to support processes and industry best practices while continuously improving operational efficiency.
Job Requirement
  • Working knowledge of ITSM tools and schedulers
  • Understanding of at least one scripting language (Perl, Python, UNIX Shell)
  • Awareness of support processes and best practices
  • SQL / PL/SQL
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
  • ETL tools: Datastage, Informatica, Oracle Data Integrator, SSIS
  • Unix/Linux commands
  • Job schedulers (Control-M, Autosys)
  • Scripting languages: Perl, Python, UNIX Shell
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Inform stakeholders in case of failures or SLA misses; involve appropriate teams to debug and fix issues
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in RFP preparation and Presales activities will be a strong advantage
