Role Overview:
As a Senior Data Governance Architect, you are expected to lead data governance and data management initiatives and ensure integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data assets across the organization. Your work is a combination of hands-on contribution, customer engagement, techno-functional & functional support, and technical team management, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful EDM programs (data governance, metadata management, data quality, master data management, data privacy, risk and compliance, and security solutions)
More specifically, this will involve:
- Participate in capability, process and data maturity assessments, roadmap development, tool evaluations and fitment exercises
- Develop and implement comprehensive data governance framework and strategy that aligns with the organization's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements, set up enterprise DG office and operating model
- Define data governance policies, standards, and procedures that ensure data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across the organization, help operationalize it and establish the right monitoring
- Develop and execute data governance metrics and KPIs to monitor and report on the effectiveness of data governance practices
- Technical solutions across the full life cycle of data (structured/semi-structured/unstructured)-based EDM projects with design, integrations with the existing data eco-system, end to end cloud-based, non-cloud and hybrid metadata management solutions including any custom configurations
- Lead data quality assessments, and remediation efforts to ensure integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data assets across the organization, set up end-to-end data quality management including workflows for issue management, stewardship and more
- Support in RFI, RFPs, pro-active solutions
- Automate using an AI-first approach. Be on the forefront of innovation with GenAI and Agentic AI enablement for EDM based engagements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business consultants, analysts, data scientists, senior data engineers) to establish data ownership and stewardship roles and responsibilities, and ensure compliance with data management regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA
- Exploring new technologies, emerging data governance trends, and practices to continuously improve data governance processes and outcomes for creative business problem-solving
- Educate and train employees on data governance policies, procedures, and best practices
- Lead a team of data governance professionals and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure the success of the data governance program
