As an Informatica Support Engineer, I ensure smooth production of PowerCenter ETL workflows by maintaining availability, reliability, and performance, while quickly resolving issues in collaboration with DBAs, application teams, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end‑to‑end production support for Informatica PowerCenter ETL processes.
- Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of critical data integration workflows.
- Monitor daily ETL jobs, workflows, and sessions; troubleshoot failures and resolve incidents quickly.
- Collaborate with DBAs, application teams, and business stakeholders to address issues and minimize downtime.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring problems.
- Optimize Informatica mappings, workflows, and SQL queries for better efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of production issues, resolutions, and preventive measures.
- Adhere to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
- Work with production support tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or Remedy.
- Demonstrate strong hands‑on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, SQL/Oracle databases, and Unix/Linux scripting.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, analytical ability, and flexibility to work in rotational shifts or on‑call support.
