Support Lead (Azure Databricks + Python)

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Support Lead with 10–15 years of overall experience in ETL processes, Azure Databricks, and Python, including at least 5+ years in a lead role. The candidate will oversee production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth data operations while guiding and mentoring the support 
team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the ETL/Data Engineering support team and manage day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL workflows and Databricks jobs.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement permanent fixes.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and availability.
  • Drive incident, problem, and change management processes in alignment with ITIL standards.
  • Ensure SLA compliance and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Automate monitoring and alerting for ETL jobs and Databricks pipelines.
  • Document support procedures, knowledge base articles, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Requirement
  • 10–15 years of experience in ETL/Data Engineering support.
  • Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role managing teams and support operations.
  • Strong expertise in Azure Databricks (clusters, jobs, notebooks, performance tuning).
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP exposure is a plus).
  • Experience with incident management tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
